Phonepayplus just released new information on web promoted sms subscription services. According to PPP, it is now required to have terms and conditions visible without scrolling, to have 2 mobile number input fields (one verifying the other) and to have a un-ticked checkbox asking to accept the terms of the text service.

Mobile phone directory service 118 800
A new mobile phone directory service, 118 800, is due to launch on the 18th of June.
118 800 allows customers to contact people whose mobile number they lost or never had – you simply enter the first and last name of the person you want to contact into a search field and have 118 800 contact the person by SMS, asking them to call you back.
There’s great concerns about privacy right now – several papers and blogs are worried about where the company got the mobile numbers from and if Connectivity, the company running 118 800, has user consent to use their mobile numbers to contact them.
iPhone demographics
Several sites report Admob has published new research on who is using iPhones and iPods. In a nutshell, iPod users are generally younger than iPhone users – with attached consequences: iPod users have fewer children, are more interested in buying phones than in traveling, they read less than the average iPhone user, watch more TV and are in general more present on the net.
