Instant messaging on your mobile, online, on the go To access Veage from your mobile phone you simply open your phone's WAP browser and go to m.veage.com. This is the Veage mobile site, and you can log in using your mobile number and password - which means you can text and instant message all your contacts no matter where in the world you are. Pages viewed on mobile devices may look different to the main website, and depending on the capabilities of your device, functionality may be limited. Some mobile phones do not allow dynamic page updates so you may have to reload pages from time to time to see updates.

Complete address book When you're using a dozen different ways to communicate and you have a dozen different address books, keeping track of all your contacts is no mean feat - so Veage allows you to keep all your addresses in one place. You can back it up - so you know your contacts are always safe. You can import and exports contacts - so it's simple to keep up-to-date. And you can access your address book from anywhere in the world. Plus if you change your own details you can send an updated vCard to all the contacts in your address book - so everyone will know where to find you.

Calendar tool The Veage calendar is more than just a diary of events. If you enter an item like a doctor's appointment or a business meeting, it'll send you a text alert to remind you. And if you enter a repeat event like "put the bin out on Tuesday", you'll get a reminder every week. Enter your anniversary and you'll get a reminder every year, plus your calendar will even remind you of your contacts' birthdays - now that could seriously help you stay in someone's good books.

Text messaging from your computer Veage is perfect for keeping in touch with your contacts when you're on the move. But it works just as well when you're sat in front of your computer. Simply log into your Veage account and type your texts directly into the message box - then just hit "send". It's great for sending those longer messages that make your thumbs throb.

Long messages Standard phone texts have a maximum of 160 characters, which is usually enough for standard messages. But you know what it's like, sometimes you have a little more on your mind and you need a little more space to say it. Well Veage gives you a lot more space - in fact there's no limit to the number of characters you can send. And if the recipient can't view more than 160 characters on their handset, they can click on a link to view the entire message online.

Continuous communication Texting can be a lot more convenient than email, but sometimes not having any message history can be a real pain. That's why Veage text messaging lets you see your message history, just like email. We call it continuous communication, and it means you won't lose any information - so no more crossed wires, no lost threads.

Group messaging Group messaging can save you some serious time and make your life just a little easier. Need to tell the team that the game has been cancelled? One text does the trick. Or want to invite all your friends round for a party - but not your family - a single text does the job. But make sure you've got your contacts in the right groups, otherwise you could find your Auntie Mabel on your doorstep with a case of vodka shots.

Searchable communication Veage is packed with practical, time-saving features, like the really useful search function. Say you want to read an old text from Andy - just type "Andy" into the search box and you'll get a list of every text message you've sent or received from Andy. Type in "party" and you'll see a list of every message with the word "party" in it. Searchable communication, clearer communication.

SMS templates You know what it's like, "I'm at work, call me later". Or "What are you doing tonight?" How many times have you tapped those messages out? And what about "I'm just texting to let you know I miss you"? Sure, we've all done it. Well with Veage's text templates you don't have to bother typing your message out - just pick one from your list of templates. And if there isn't one for what you want to say, just create your own. So if you're always texting "what's for dinner?", just set it up. And your partner can set up "beans on toast".

Easy reply So you're a Veage member but your friends aren't - how do they reply to your texts? Simple - they reply the same way they would to any other text. Or they can click on a link within your message and they'll be taken to the Veage mobile site where you can both chat one-to-one online.
